Ripples Of A Love Story

…..Hold my hands said the sky to the Earth….. Let Mountains soar, whilst in the depths of the Ocean let love take root. In the depths of your lap reside a force of untold will and courage, blended in the gentle current of a tempest paradox….Gentle to the touch, A force like no other, Bereft of vanity and conceit. Thy will is pure and courage true. Who can smite that which is true and pure!

Such a heart is charged, such a heart is guided….All else seizes to exist. With purpose flowing through their legs, courage pulsating through their arms, love of timeless age seated in their hearts and will surging through their veins….the ocean resides in them. A force of nature, the eyes of love.

The Transcendent Anguish of Ego

Pride and ego is the root of condescension, Oh how it laughs at our fooled perception, As we believe that it is us that controls this powerful deception.

It fools us, It controls us, It loathes when we awaken and boils with swollen pride when we bow low! This Pride and this Ego are necessary obstacles, for it allows us to give meaning and value to the virtue within, though many’er a blow a life may see!

And though we may fight a mighty battle, may we remain astute in our spiritual commute.

It is this Pride and this ego that torments the virtue within us, Relentless in it endeavours, ruthless is its nature, inconsiderate is its charm, with vanity and conceit in its heart.

But alas, there is a sublime irony in this deception. The Ego is neutral and unbiased for it is an agent of Maya, a test of faith.

This ego is a test in our spiritual endeavours in which many fail and very few survive! Just as Bhraman has Maha-Maya, Maha-Maya has Ego, to each with its own seduction.

Where understanding and love are present....the Ego is tempered, only to realise that we have found a long lost friend in our perceived weakness.

Blessings

In life we learn, to live and let live, we learn, so long as we live we live in ignorance; we learn that, God is seated in all that is matter. These are merely three aspects, of what is known as the “Cosmic Truth”. This in essence means that man and God are one.

As intelligent as we are, the ability to comprehend this concept, is not even within grasp for a person who is in a state of ‘Tamas’, or ‘Rajas’. It is one thing to know, but to what degree is an unknown factor.
Isn’t it amazing, that we live in a world knowing that at some point in time, we will soon depart? For some reason the human mind has the mental capacity to take in that burden, and still maintain the zest for life! Striving for perfection, in the attainment of credentials and maintaining the body, so on and so forth. All this effort knowing that sooner or later that I’m going to lose it all. That is a blessing in its own right, which can’t really be defined, it can be regarded as a morphs’, constantly changing in meaning.

Blessings – the ability to be born as a human, is a blessing; the ability to be born with no defects, is a blessing; the ability to multitasked is a blessing... in essence, any variant that mentally, physically, and spiritually appeals to all that is dharmic, and can be defined on the pretext of our scriptures! That alone is a blessing, and that we should be grateful for.
If there is one thing that I’m grateful for; that is being born as a Hindu; in an Indian household, taught in the language of great men and women, inspired by the depth of wisdom, spoken with such simplicity. Such is that blessing that I’ve been endowed with. Please don’t misunderstand, what I’ve said, to be one pointed! Coming to terms with your self is the first step towards peace of mind, and the final step in achieving your goals.
Your parents are another blessing that most people overlook! Both mother and father are special in that they represent ‘LOVE’ and ‘DUTY’... My parent, I’m ever grateful for; traits that can only be defined as god like. One can say that; he who has come as Sri Rama and Mother Sita; has come as Sri Ramakrishna and Mother Sarada, has come again as my mom and dad...don’t worry like parent even God has his hang ups.

Life... life is full of surprises, unexpected twists and turns, forever assimilating information at unconcieved speeds. For an individual, who is either in a state of thumas or rajas, counting his/her blessings would not do them justice, for we are ignorant of life its self, and therefore cannot see the more subtle blessings, and appreciate them as the manifestation of the divinity already in man. To me, when an individual continuously counts his blessings, he continues to remind himself that he is indispensable, and when we are in that state of mind do we find that when something bad happens to that individual, that individual automatically goes into a state reasoning. If there is no logical explanation or spiritual verification, that individual remains in contemplation and therefore seeks redemption. Until the time he/she has come to the realization that I’m dispensable in the eyes of the lord, that every action has a reaction, that the sumskaras of his previous life have come into effect in his present life, so long as man believes that he is indispensable, mans ego will be at its height each one thinking that one is greater than the other, so on and so forth... on the other hand, when regard our self as dispensable, we become more modest and humble.

This realization of dispensability supports Swami Vivekananda’s statement that “Every individual is potentially divine.” As a result the blessing of any individual, is the manifestation of the divinity already in man; which co-insides with the sumskaras of our previous birth.
As for me..... I’ll just have to wait and see!

My Family...

My family comprises of varies combustion able elements. Element which are at different levels of development, very distinguished in their composition, each unique in their own way, their purpose yet to be reveal by lives choices. My family... my lovely family, without them, my purpose shall never come to pass, and my life as it is would be void. Yes we have our quarrels and nuclear induced fights, but our relationship with one another are held intact by a love which is constantly changing in nature.

My family like every other family has its pro’s and con’s, strengths and weakness, but it’s most important to affiliate yourself with the growing strengths of your family and be more the person you aspire to be.

The Influence of music

Music...music has the ability to relieve tension, break the bondages that hold us back and more so put us in an intoxicated state of inertia, a complete paradox.
The dynamics of music are full of surprises and yet, at the same time simple in nature. What we see and feel in music is merely a reflection of our inner most thoughts and experiences which correspond with the heart.

Every individual has a specific bio-rhythm, to which they are drawn to. When we hear a piece of music or someone playing the piano to a specific tune, the vibrations given off, if at the same frequency and at almost the same level, even by a decibel, can captivate us to the extent that we lose touch with reality and are transported to a realm of complete possibility’s, which in reality are regarded as impossible, or are impossible! Our goals, objectives, focus and purpose become temporally disorientated, it plays and has no relevance for that period in time. In fact everything around us becomes a blur and everything within us...let’s just say, all our inner most desires and dreams become a reality in our minds eye.

It can therefore be said that, music has no distinct definition; it’s merely an emotional morphs, constantly changing in nature. An entity of enormous possibilities which can’t be measured by a mere mortal.

Music transcends all limitations, its language only the heart can understand and not the mind. The mind can’t rationalise what the heart interprets; with all due respect the mind does have the ability, however lacks the capacity! Why? The mind of today is either in a state of,”tamus” or,”Rajas”. When the mind reaches the state of being,”sutvic“, where both the heart and the mind are in equilibrium, only then can the mind understand and rationalizes with the heart.
Therefore the influential nature of music is profound as well as divers in more ways than one. Inculcating even one ayorta of this, we can attain liberation. Such is the influential nature of music.

Life In Relation To: Body, Mind, & Heart (soul)

Isn’t it amazing how the human biology works? Perfectly designed, internally and externally. Our scriptures say that Man and God are one and the same, but it is the mind that fails to understand such a notion.

"Realize the ideal that you are the witness of the mind. Lust, Anger and other deadly enemies are the attributes of the mind and not the soul". When an individual can put into practice such a thought, then such a notion, that, Man and God are one and the same; that they are merely reciprocals of one another. Then this would make more spiritual sense.

The Body, Mind and Heart. These three elements make us what we are, without either one of these three elements, our life as it is will cease to exist.
I’ve come to the conclusion, that these three elements are no different from our physical counter-parts. That of: Father; Mother and Child. This understanding has led me to the belief that by means of association, the Body represents the Child; The Mind the Father and the Heart that of the Mother. Why you may ask? Well in all respects, the mind on its own is logical, forth-right, practical; in some respects extremely irrational. Basically, through experience, everything a father is in a household; fairly Dominant. Now the Heart, always trying to see reason, compassionate, willing to except faults as a stepping stone for a greater good. In essence everything a mother would express; loving, caring etc. The Body a means of expression, for both Heart and Mind.

Therefore it can be said that, without the Body the mind can’t delegate mundane functions; The Mind without the heart can’t mature; The Heart without the mind can not rationalize, and tends to become an emotional wreck, and The Body without Mind and Heart can’t grow.

It is therefore understandable, when a man or father gives in, to Human Nature; what has actually occurred is that, he has come in contact with his motherly side.

I’ve always wanted to know, why men and women differ in opinion, even if they are fighting to sustain the same cause. Well my opinion is that 85% of the time, men tend to use their mental thinking capacity to justify their reasoning. Basically more in the Mind. Women on the other hand, arouse their thinking and rational capacity from the much distinguished Heart; which occurs 90% of the time.

Now, Age and Experience play an integral role in Human development. Swami Vivekanada had said that, “Each soul is potentially divine.” Did he limit it to age and experience? Did he specify a condition for the bases of such a statement?
Not at all! Each soul varying on how they faired in their previous lives, will either reap the benefits of their actions or suffer the consequences of their actions, in their next Life or next Birth. Age and Experience play only a small role, in God's play of Maya. Age allows for the maturing intake of knowledge, not forgetting the fact that, it perpetually keeps one in check with reality; whereas Experience establishes ones self within the context of that knowledge. Just as fire and its power of burning are not different, so are Brahman and Maya. Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Sarada Devi are one. In other words, they complement each other.

This is what I find really amazing; we have God (Brahman), then we have man and on top of that… the stage of Maya. Brahman, who is all perfect, has provided the modern man with everything, that which is needed. To untangle himself from his disillusioned state of worldly attachment, to attain ascension from his alter self.
Now man has all this before him; Specifically with reference to our Hindu scriptures:
The Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, etc.

But regardless of what our scriptures say; Man always finds some excuse to please one of their five senses. You can be the highest in your field of work, have an outstanding appeal to others in your surrounding and have the ability to change views at a glance. But what is the virtue of such characteristics, when you have not tamed the so-called animal within you. High thinking and Shallow interpretational action is merely one of many characteristics of a weak mind. Therefore, theoretically knowing what is in the scriptures, is all good and well. In fact, you would have qualified for a position, with His Holiness (Brahman).
But that’s just a qualification, whether you actually get there or not, souly depends on how you act out, what you have gained intellectually; on this stage of Maya!

Even the greatest of men, fall at a moment's notice; to such petty sense pleasures; and worse so, they feel entitled to it, forgetting their real strengths. But what makes the greatest of men, Kings; it’s not the choices that he makes nor is it the way he executes his tasks with a level of perfection unknown to man who is governed by sense objects and sense pleasure. No! These form the basis of his principles. What makes the greatest of men “Kings”… It is in his simplistic nature, which enables him to cut through the discrepancies of life, and still maintain his course of spiritual action; in thought, word, and deed.

Random writing...

I am deeply devoted to the ideals preached and practiced by Swami Vivekananda. I shall try to place some of my random thoughts in this Blog.
